So the official name of the bike is actually "Streetfighter?" The marketing brain trust a Ducati must have worked overtime on that one. Yossef, did you get a hint of the prices for the base and "S" models?

Let me hazzard a guess and say that the "base" will be $13,999 and the "s" will be in the $17999 area. Based on current pricing and the fact that they won't want to take away from sales of other models this would make the most sense. The name is a tad weak.

I don't know. Looks like a quintessential streetfighter to me. Calling it what it is makes perfect sense. They could have called it Gladius.

Who cares about the streetfighter, look at the 1198! With a 1200cc limit in the new AMA class this should be very interesting for the so called cookie cutter bikes.

Well they could have called it "Il Sphincter" too. I dunno, I like "Monster," "Concours," names like that. It's like having the "New Toyota FourDoorSedan."

Some people would complain if they were hung with a new rope.

Who cares? I do. I'd rather have a standard than a sportbike any day of the week.
