Thanks this write up was worth waiting for. Now if only I hadn't had to miss last weekends demo ride on the ST.

From the write up I'd bet the BMW hands down over the VFR. A lot more cachet and neither are performance kings anyhow. Plus the BMW probably won't be dropped from the lineup next year.

So when did they decide that an 800cc bike was a "middleweight"? Compaired to what? A Buick Estate Wagon? The Queen Mary? Gimme a break, tipping the scales at almost 500 lbs is not a "middleweight".

What a coincidence, I was taking a long look at a new VFR in the same color as the one y'all rode just this Saturday. I owned a red '02 for a year and a half; it was essentially the same bike. I had a lot of fun on that bike, and with the underseat exhaust, single sided swingarm, and generally awesome style; it drew a lot of compliments. Too bad they took that VTEC hit out of the engine, that was fun! Does it still make that awesome intake honk?

Glad you like it Zawa, but I've seen the BMW. It's a nice bike, but nothing in this write up would sway me to it over the VFR if I were in that market. I'm thinking by 2010 the Concours 14 should be in Version 2.0; de-bugged and ready to go!

An 800cc V4!

The GMP predicts, and it happens.

And Kawasaki will find some way to add another 200lbs to the damn thing.

On the other hand the BMW's regulator probably won't fry.

Let's all have a quick round of applause for Fonzie - that vid was outstanding! from the filming to the editing: you're really gettin' good at this.

Well Done.

(and the writin's not too half-bad either, Alex an' KDuke! )
