Ooooohhh, bad timing there HD. Why not try to buy Cagiva, who the Castagoti brothers made from the ashes of Aremacchi? Let the circle be unbroken...then you can bring back the Sprint ERS...where'd I put that tooling? Oh, it's in the chicken coop....

This whole rumor of Italian marquee buying started three years ago with the possible buyout of Moto Guzzi off the Piaggio band. When that fizzled I guess HD felt it was important to keep the Italian link. Cagiva (other than MV and the sell off of Husky to BMW) were not in the US market anyway. Other than MV they only really sell scooters in Europe for their primary source of business. I know they have a couple bikes but really it's all scooters paying the bills. So, why not buy the brand? Question is: What happens to Erik? Does Buell start building MV's or is MV going to build Buells? Also- MV races. Will they continue? MV is readying a 675 triple to compete in supersport racing in WSBK and maybe able to enter into the Daytona Superbike class here. Would all that work be put on hold? Can Erik run two completely different Sportbike companies or are the Italians going to run MV. Man, I got questions on top of questions waiting to be answered.
