I had managed to avoid this for some time. Went this past weekend. My instructors however could perform all the drills and used volunteered bikes to demo."...but my Iron Horse Custom can't do that...". That was fun to watch along with the gently arc's ground into the asphalt. The figure 8's refered to were a blast, I got to lead my group, I now have no chicken strips. Pretty much everybody there agreed that this wasn't going to save any lives though. Apperantly the stick in this is that Soldiers may not recieve their SGLI if they die on a bike without the ERC. Got that from a recruiter on a V Rod.....well you know what I mean. 50% of the class left the test site in excess of the post speed limit. Some of those guys on the cruisers were incrediably smooth. I was the only one in full gear, mesh. "How do you wear that?" I travel with water and didn't drop my pants to show them the marks from 30 years ago, ah Fayetteville.....

Appearantly if the Soldier doesn't have his card it will have an impact on the Line of Duty status of the Soldier. That's a big time deal!
