Thanks for the write up Pete. I don't feel so bad now about missing the Multi when I got my Vee. I tried to buy one, I really did, but the damn dealer refused to tell me how much it cost. The Vee now has almost 20k miles on it with nothing but oil and filter changes. Oh, and some plugs at 10k. Runs perfectly, as fast as it needs to be, and the looks sort of grow on you.

I would LOVE to have a Multi, but I just can't stand to look at the goddam things from the front. You can't see it when you're ridin' it, but I'd never be able to get close-enough to actually throw a leg over - it's like they should have named it the "Gorgon-Strada" or somethin'..............

Or Versystrada. I saw a guy walk over to the wrong bike when the two were sitting nearby... That would suck; "Dude, my bike cost three times as much as that stupid Kawi!!"

Dammit, yes the V-Strom makes way more sense. Especially since only the S 'Strada is now available. The dealership understands and I am still allowed to go stand by the 'Strada for short measured amounts of time. No I'll probably never have one and yes I think it's pretty. Here you can look at the brochure that I keep under the mattress.

So the real question is Wee or Vee?

I really loved my '04 but couldn't get the wind flow right. When you have to wear leathers just to keep the shoulders from flopping around at hwy speeds in the 'stich, there's a problem.(no, I wasn't holding the bars too tight)
For reference, I have a naked bike and love the wind. The multi hated me at 6'3" with 3 separate screens. I couldn't even wave at HD riders above 75.

But, I really want a new 1100S.

Yeesh, that front end view. Yikes! What happened to Ducati? We just barely got over the 999. Guess I'll just have to get a Tiger.
