This is good news. Now it should be interesting..... will all the folk whining in the various forums about this bike not being offered in the states now step up and buy one.?i suspect we'll hear a lot of "woulda bought one if itd ben less than $10000 " whining. Interesting that Harley is cautiously only offering a limited initial run of 750 stateside....seems they may be a little skeptical too. Hope its successful...HD needs this type of product.

Triumph Motorcycles - Page Not Found (404)
$8500 or on the sporty side... Triumph Motorcycles - Thruxton $8600... Harleys pricing still gets me, why pay an extra $4k? i could get another bike for that. For that matter a Buell CityX is less expensive... actually other than the the XB12XT all the Buell air cooled bikes are as much or less than the XR1200 Though i really do like the XR1200. money no object? i'd love to have one. |

The Buell line is what should be Sportsters, the current Sporty line could be Roadsters or something

I think you'll be pleased to know the sporty Sportster they used to sell was called the Roadster. It had dual discs and a better suspension; the front wheel size was smaller too. Oh yeah, and Buell heads...which makes the XR1200 even less an event than ever.

I remember that one, dual plug heads, adjustable suspension, cast wheels.. The Sportster Sport was before that. I like Sporties, I'd like to find a decent Ironhead to play with but I wouldn't turn my nose up at a newer one.
