After 2 1/2 months of crappy weather, I will finally get a decent day to pick up the Buell tomorrow. Since the dealer is 50 miles away, I'll have a chance to shake it out a bit for sure. The weather is going to be a balmy 45 with no snow on the streets, so I'm chomping at the bit to ride this thing. Can't wait!

Make sure you do some stretching first!
Those pegs are kinda close to the seat! I'm looking forward to your 'riding impressions.'

Just when you think its safe, LR is unleashed on the world once again. I'm with Pushrod, cant wait to see what you think of that "real motor." Almost sold our ford stock and picked one up myself, but its since gone up again so we'll keep riding that wave.

The reviews all say that the CR is a lot more comfortable with the optional riser upright bar. When I sat on the CR at the motorcycle show, it did put a bit of pressure on my arms/wrists. You'll have to let us know if you keep it stock or end up opting for those.

Before you go pick it up, listen to Manchester Orchestra's "Shake It Out". It's a great song to have in your head while riding a bike, especially a new bike. Enjoy!
YouTube - Manchester Orchestra - Shake It Out (Note: Vid is a funny homage to Stallone's "Over The Top".)

So how you gonna "shake it out" 50 miles in a straight line in IL?
Remember, 1 CA mile is 50 IL miles. Cornfields beware!

Wow, excellent jam, I've never heard of them. Have fun Longo, nothing like riding a new bike home. 45* and dry is good to go, cold for jeans though the wind will bite you right through them. Gear up and you'll be fine.

I always had Montrose' "Bad Motorscooter" in my noggin whilst dodging idiots in cages here in LALA land.
That or Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkeries". (sic). Send some pics of that Austrian/American hybrid. It will be a rare piece someday, right up there between the Dusenburg and an Auburn Speedster.
