Being a former off-road enthisuest (redneck playing in the mud) I know a tow rope can never be too long. Not that you need use the entire length in all applications, 1 more reason to have a logging chain, but the ropes give that "sling shot" effect you cant get from a chain. After I discovered motorcycles, I realized you could have alotta fun, without tresspassing & breaking parts on every outing. I still have my recovery gear but in the last several years its been used for pulln people out of the snow rather then mud.

I'll add that towing a vehicle on public roadways, especially in traffic is idiotic.
