My name is Paul and this is my June 2008 Alaska Adventure.
In between some of the pictures I have provided links that will take you to the websites that I used to help plan my trip. I thought by including them you can see the history surrounding the Alaska Highway and why it was so important for me to ride there to see it for myself. I hope you enjoy my adventure as much as I did! 7,229 miles ![]() Hi! I'm Paul. Glad you decided to come along on my Alaska Adventure. My usual motel for the night. That night it rained so hard I rode into town and bought a tarp to go over the tent. Notice the cyclone fence. It is to keep the Bears out. It works unless someone leaves the gate open.
![]() ![]() More gravel. Get used to that too. ![]() A bear cub and mother. I don’t have to worry, I can outrun the woman taking the pictures. ![]() ![]() Fort Nelson Hotel, Fort Nelson, BC. ![]() ![]() |

Slow Down! The grating on the deck makes it hard to control the bike.

Behind the Liard Hot Springs Lodge, BC is not a bad place to camp. Just don't have any food with you. It might attract an unwanted visitor.

It is amazing to see the weather change from one extreme to another in such a short period of time! Good thing I brought along my Gerbing's Heated Jacket Liner (6.4 amps/77 watts) and Heated Pant Liner (3.6 amps/44 watts) to keep me warm. I control how much heat I want with my Dual Temp-Controller.
