This is the best post today! You couldn't be more right. Women can't do much of anything very well.

I think the point is that men are ticketed more after the officer finds out just who they are dealing with. Women and men may actually get pulled over at approximately the same rate, however, males are simply given the shaft when it comes to leniency.

Default For the last time.....

"irregardless" is not a word. The proper term is "regardless".

I know a few cops and I have spoken with them in length about how to get out of a ticket and the common denominator is attitude. If you come accross as a jerk you are gettin a ticket. I will agree that being polite and respectful will, in many cases, get you out of trouble with a mere warning. This is not to say there isn't the obligatory a$$hole cop once in a while but, being respectful of the officer's authority does give you a chance at getting off light IMHO.

If that doesn't work, compliment his gut and offer him a donut and tell him his wife hates it when you're late and you had to stop and get condoms on the way.

Dunno. I hear "irregardless" used quite a bit. English is an evolving language, so maybe it's a word now?

Of course, I try to work "supposably" into polite conversation as much as is possible, so maybe

I'm just a bad influence. ( Fun with memes! )

And of course, after the fact I went to www.m-w.com and found:

One entry found for irregardless.

Main Entry: ir·re·gard·less

Pronunciation: "ir-i-'gärd-l&s

Function: adverb

Etymology: probably blend of irrespective and regardless

Date: circa 1912

nonstandard : REGARDLESS

usage Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that "there is no such word." There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.

-- end --

What does this have to do with bikes? Nothing!

Where's the bloody ZR-7 review?

I think you are under the false assumption that people actually wear helmets.
