This is NOT about sport.

This NOT about racing.

This is NOT about enthusiasts.

This IS business.

Speedvision/FOX/ESPN/ABC/NBC/CBS do NOT put on programs because people want them. They put on programs because sponsors are willing to PAY for the airtime because the sponsors believe that the people watching the program are going to buy their products.

To date, NOBODY has given sponsors any proof that low-life, -sucking, motorcycle bums, squids and other assorted scooter trash will buy their products if they sponsor/support motorcycle racing.

Great, just what we need...more NASCAR. More fat-ass, beer swilling, cousin' loving hicks driving around in a circle for three hours. I got talked into going to a NASCAR race several years ago in Alabama, of all places. I think the ticks on my dog's ass had a higher average IQ than the spectators in attendance that day. Oh well, I guess this is a good excuse for us to all load up the vans and go see some bike races in person........

Great, I just spent big bucks on a Direct TV system this summer soley for the purpose of getting motorcycle racing on Speedvision. (my cable company does not carry it)

I'm not against NASCAR racing, I watch it occationally, but there are plenty of channels that carry it. Speedvision was small enough that it made sense for them to show all the motorcycle racing, I can not see the bigger sports networks covering it for the small ratings it gets. But, I hope I am wrong.

This is a very depressing situation, excuse me while I go slit my wrists.

You are right about CART, I stand corrected.
