It must be, and SUV's must be to blame. What kind of crackdown did you have in mind? Perhaps we should call out the National Guard. Maybe guys like Jim Baxter have a good reason to be concerned. If you don't like big iron, SUV's, "Big Business", and FREEDOM, move to Afganastan!

Nigg3r puhhhleaze... quit being so ignorant man... even if you take the environment out of the equation, there are still huge implications with increasing our reliance on fossil fuels. Are you proud of the fact that America makes up 40% of OPEC's business? Do you like funding OPEC? Did you know that the majority of OPEC countries are muslim? Get a grip - this is bigger than just "wanting to inconvenience the little guy".

Adam.

Yeah, and we probably produce more than 30% of the worlds goods and services.

We should develop every resourse we have and then camp out on it. We can use it after we clean those OPEC rat bastards out of every last drop.

You may get your wish... some experts say that within the next 10 years we should start to see signs of depletion in the middle-east (in which America is 53% reliant on to provide our energy needs)

If you're not farmiliar with the situation, it's an eye opening realization when you do come to the conclusion of - "If we don't change... like yesterday - we're screwed".

This site can be a little hokey about the environment, but it's a good resource:

Here is a recent article at salon that was interesting:

Isnt there only 140 or so years of recorded temps? Well in the US at least... Just a milisecond in the grand scheme. Granted common sense would indicate a probable increase, population explosion of the past 200 years, industrial revolution etc. spilling everything into the air. Not including standard convection of hot blacktop and body heat.

I ride 2000 miles a month to work and back, getting double the gas mileage. Love my two wheels...

All the more reason to get down to business in the ANR and anywhere else we think there is oil.

I agree. The douch bags who run the EPA and everyone who supports them must think that they have been anointed to save the world. There is a new bogey man every week. We need to drive the eco-Nazis from this agengy and inject a little common sense.
