As far as I'm concerned, it's just another heavy, complicated and *boring* Japaneese motorcycle. I might buy a Camry, but not one of these.

If you're looking for something more along the lines of a VFR with bags, you might be out of luck cuz the '02 VFR might be more sport-oriented than the previous versions and may not come with bags at all.

Who knows, maybe you might forget about the looks when you find out the ST might contain a variation of the VTEC intake system, produces prodigiuos amounts of torque and horsepower, and handles better than most other sport tourers?

Better yet, wait until it comes out and you get a chance to test ride it. That is if they bring it to the US.

What...? You sure won't find what you're looking for in an article about the ST1XXX.

Have you ever rode one? What don't you like about Honda's linked systems? They weren't so bad on my GL1500.

I hope you back that up by driving a '61 Bug! That should keep you happy and safe from these "heavy, complicated and *boring* Japanese motorcycles." Glad to see that you don't want one of these bike....more for me at a lower price!

"...The head, poking through the plastic looks pretty small for a 13 though."

It does look small, assuming it's a v-four. Perhaps a twin?

As long as you don't hog up any of the Canadian models. Looks like Numb Bums are about to get a whole lot prettier, what with this bike and the new Yamaha on thier way!

I own one... And I can modulate my OWN G-D brakes, thank you!

Also, your ratios change depending on traction conditions... for instance if it's raining, you want more back brake and less front brake... and that's difficult to achieve with the LBS.

Additionally, it's HEAVY and complicated. I say dump it.

I meant to say I own a Honda with LBS... not a GL1500.
