That's the first thing I noticed in that article. "Revenue investigators."

Oh, and the gov't doesn't want you to quit smoking either.

Did you see the articles about the government wanting to put the same (read: large) taxes that are applied to tobacco products to the patches and gums and other "quit smoking" products?

They are obviously concerned about everyoneÂ’s health. Really. Honest.

Heaven forbid the government should actually have to do with less. I mean, what are we to expect; efficiency?

Default "Off Road Diesel"

There's a fuel store near a large industrial area on my way to work that has a sign for "Off Road Diesel." Is that some tax-dodge deal? I doubt anybody is trailering their Hatteras over to fill it up. Maybe it's like the head shops' "For Tobacco Use Only" stickers on their bongs.

Fuel taxes go to road construction and upkeep. People using non-regulated fuel (as in not from a fuel pump) are still using the roads without paying for the repair and upkeep on those roads. So why shouldn't the state and UASS gummint send them a bill for it? Call it a fine and folks get po'ed, call it an UnPaid Usage Reimbursement Surcharge (or an UP-URS) instead and fewer folks will get po'ed out loud.

"Nice Bike but...

I love Standard Bikes ( I ride a 919) however why do all of the new Standards have to look like they are right out of Star Wars!

The original Z-1 is still a beautiful bike and Ducati's GT is up to date and sexy at the same time.

Maybe one of the big 4 should bring out "retro" Standard??"

While we're on the subject, my dog's breath smells like dog food.

In a few states the health departments are suing their own state govts in order to get even a part of the tobacco settlements. Remember how the tobacco companies were sued so that the states could recoup healthcare costs? The money has all been put in the general fund or worse many states have leveraged the tobacco settlements and borrowed based on projected future tobacco money. Now the tobacoo companies are down and can't make the promised settlements so the states who foolishly borrowed are in trouble.

And these sheeple want to entrust their medical care to the States and Fed. Fools.

Off road diesel is less filtered and burns less cleanly than on road diesel.

Hey someone has to pay for those RV fuel inspectors at the Nascrap races. At least this bonehead was decent enough to tell everyone he was shirking his responsibilities as a taxpayer.
