he's trying to invent something that has more of a motorcycle feel than a jetski, which handles like a tank imho. he's got a 1200cc two-stroke triple doing the work, so i know he's doing something right!!

Fourteen large for an obese front-steer Waverunner? Grabs me, chokes me, throws me on the ground and sits on me. Gah.
Favorite specification: SIXTEEN-gallon fuel tank. My damned Prelude's tank is smaller than that. Favorite picture from their site: The cheesecake of the blondes posing with that ugly lump of a motor. |

I believe Wiegert invented the Wet Bike also. This is probobly just an evolution of that machine. He also invented the personal jet pack that was featured in several movies. I think his most successful invention was a gyrosope camera mount that was initially used to film the Boston Marathon. It allowed people to film from moving vehicles and have a steady picture. But I digress...

If you read the bio on Mr. CEO of Aquajet you will see he is the same guy that help bring us the WetBike. You know what they say about falling off... (it must hurt less on water!?!)

Agassi burned up his car as a result of taking delivery before the car was finished, and ignoring the instructions of Weigert to avoid driving the car until it could be completed. Of course, the car may very well have been promised to Agassi much sooner, but Agassi is a neo-maxi-zoom prima donna himself (go Sampras), so who knows. The head of the National Automobile Dealers Association (I think, don't quote me here) also bought one, and said that it was one of the most reliable cars he ever owned. Management of the company was perhaps mediocre, at best, but the design of the car (and the car itself) was absolutely spectacular. It makes a Ferrari look shoddy and mass-produced. The W8 twin-turbo was basically a luxurious hand-built race car licensed for the street. Every single part used to built that car was, bar none, nothing but the best.
Weigert may be a reckless, cowboy-type entrepeneur, but the car he built was nothing sort of sensational. |

If you're talking about April Fool's Day (practical jokers day), yes we do have that in US. But we usually wait until April 1st to do it.
This is no joke, but a real product. I guess a lot of readers think it is trash because it doesn't have 2 wheels. But I find this more interesting than articles on cruiser or dirt bikes, which I have no interest in. Get a clue people, there are going to be stories here that don't interest you. So just don't read them. Why waste your time (and everybody else's) whining about how this is not relavent to motorcyclists. |

I do remember Weigert, as stated from my earlier post. He does sound shady, but the W8 twin turbo(it was the W8, not the W2) was one of the greatest cars of all time. From what I've read, it sounds like Weigert did the whole thing for the simple, selfish desire to drive around in a one-of-a-kind supercar. He probably put more miles on a W8 that all the customers combined.
Anyone see that movie "Rising Sun" with Sean Connery and Wesley Snipes? The beginning of that movie has a great shot of that car accelerating away from the camera. There is probably no car short of the General Lee that would garner the looks that the W8 would. If this forum had a little bit stronger HTML features, I would include a picture as I have several. P.S. I don't know where you're getting "Donavan". The block was built by Rodeck, the heads by Air Flow Research. |

Seems most people here can do nothing but whine. First that there's not enough content, then that the content isn't good enough. I have wondered what ever happened to Weigert and his wetbike venture since I read about it a few years back, so I was grateful for the story.
