Amazing a small American company can do what Harley/Buell can not. So much for all the folks who say Harley/Buell don't have the ability to do it. They don't have the will. It's a great looking bike too..

Erik and Harley management time is running out. Time to gamble with a little of those excess profits you have been making selling the motorcycle equivalent to a 57 Chevy and put a better engine in the Buell

Quick prediction: Longride shows up and Squid can't make it.

You're dragging ass on this.

Contact MO and make it official. Have them organize it so everyone knows all parties will be there, you sad old bastard.

Get it done. If you don't, than shut your mouth and never bring it up again.

If I remember right the question as to whether it would appear in a Buell was shot down rather quickly due to the physical size and weight of the engine, which would be contrary to Buell's design philosophy of rather compact machines.

I would daresay this has Harley's (if not Buell's) blessing - otherwise it might be a chore coming-up with 50+ ready-to-run V-Rod engines and all the appurtenances.

Possibly even has a bit of Motor Company backing, "behind the scenes".

For a company that is so quick to give a smackdown on any other company they see as "riding their coattails" (remember the debacle in the early-'80s over the Honda Rebel?); it isn't likely for this situation to be dissimilar to what I've described.

If that thing weighs only 425, fully-faired and with that motor, I'll eat my XB12's swingarm, with the oil still inside...

i don't know about the VFR, but the gold wing overheating problem had NOTHING to do with the radiator placement.
