According to the moronic article middle aged riders are buying Boss Hosses. That in itself should impeach any credibility.

I have simply no idea what the idiot who is quoted is talking about. Sadly, this sort of coverage is typical for almost every news article you read in the papers or see on TV. That's the main reason I quit watching TV news and reading newspapars altogether. It's virtually all agenda driven bs writtten by the worst bunch of drunks and druggies graduated from the Universities. Most journalists say that their purpose is to change the world, not report accurately. It certainly shows.

I thought that according to all these commie college professor/geniuses gas was going to be $5 per gallon by now. Looks like those predictions were all as accurate as their CO2 climate models. You know. The ones that are entirely discredited but still quoted by Algore and his lackeys.

Default Free will on MO

An excerpt from the NY times just this morning:

"The German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer said, as Einstein paraphrased it, that "a human can very well do what he wants, but cannot will what he wants."

But wouldnÂ’t it be nice to have a theory of evil in advance that could keep him from coming to power?"

He added, "A system a bit more focused on helping people change rather than paying them back for what theyÂ’ve done might be a good thing."

Exposing free will as an illusion would have little effect on peopleÂ’s lives or on their feelings of self-worth. Most of them would remain in denial.

"ItÂ’s an illusion, but itÂ’s a very persistent illusion; it keeps coming back," "Even though you know itÂ’s a trick, you get fooled every time. The feelings just donÂ’t go away."

Does anyone seriously doubt that feeble-minded, low-skilled cruiser pilots are overrepresented in accident statistics? Their lack of gear alone ensures they will die in greater numbers than properly attired riders, given the exact same number of accidents. Now throw in some beer and the level of skill you can only get by riding 500 miles or so a year, and the results are susceptible of ascertainment through common sense alone.

Hope it's a good ride! 21 this morning when I rode in to work....... I have GOT to get a bigger alternator so I can add those grip-heaters. That is the only discomfort riding to work in sub-freezing temps: My fingers (prolly 'cuz I have poor circulation in my extremities).
