All you have to do is require an ignition interlock in every car. If you've been drinking the car won't start simple as that.

Enough with the wishy-washy already! What do you really think?

It's always easy to think that others have it better in a different situation.

Does it occur to any that Buz, I and others have to ride year-round without any sort of respite? Great day for riding after another, on and on, relentlessly! The crushing burden of knowing that we must ride when we can for those that can't... looked at another way... it's for the children even!

Sure, you'd think it'd be great but don't judge us until you've walked a mile in our shoes!

"What they don't point out is that registrations are up 45% or more for the same time. Thus, the "true" number of fatalities is actually going down."

Probably true on all counts, but the GOV wants you to feel you are getting the best out of them. Geez, if we all figured out all this stuff by ourselves, why would we need them?

The report clearly indicates that those with loud pipes were not involved in as many crashes.

I'm glad someone else caught that.

I think that's a good point, as your experience level goes up you can kinda sense when you're in a bad situation and can sense when someone around you is going to do something stupid. One thing I did when I started was learned to be happy with my horn button. Here in Tucson people love to pull out into the median and then wait for traffic to clear...I don't hesitate, I'll lay on my horn while moving to the right wheel track. I'd rather have people think I'm nuts then plow into a front fender. People just don't look for us, so I use my horn often to let them know I'm near.

"One third of all fatalities didn't have a license endorsement." Obviously drinking and riding while endorsed is a bad combination.
