You might want to examine it more carefully. The notice sent to me was NOT from the court system. It even instructed me to NOT contact the court because they would have no record of it.

It was simply the photo company (operated in a state outside of CA) trying to get me to squeal on the operator of the motorcycle.

I'd want some James-Bondian gadget that would, at the touch of a button, smoothly obscure my actual license plate with some obscure European one.

Then, I'd press another button and score with a Bond girl.

Ah, the good old Guilty until proven Innocent gambit. Great for Insurance companies and Government, not so good for us lowly citizens.

Some little victories or setbacks lately depending on perspective. The overall trend is going the wrong way IMO.

Well, obviously speed kills because look at all the carnage she caused with all that speeding.... .

Mine was from the city, had been reviewed and signed by an APD Officer and gave me a number to discuss this with the Officer. All of the information was through the police department and the City Courts. I am sure that many of the ones out there are total BS money making scams but this one seemed to be rather ligit. The company operating the cameras is out of Ohio but due to the close involvement of the APD and the City. If I got another I would fight it but I did not feel ignoring it was a good option in this case. Next time I would most likely fight it. The worst thing is I saw him catch the guy ahead of me but assumed it was a mistake because the light was green. When I got flashed I still thought it was a mistake, the light was still green. I did not know they were checking us for speed as well......doh!!!

But if it only saves that one precious life, it's worth it! I love that one.
