Sounds like the sort of joke that almost might be a good idea to try in real life. A set of inline-four cruisers would establish that they're trying to get something that fits Indian's herritage instead of a Harley clone.

How about taking four S&S cylinders and heads, and bolting them to their own crankcase?

Default ksquid to be kbuell

You are spot on...Went down to Dowtown Harley sat on some Buells today after work. I didn't have time to take a test ride. I want to spend my stock bonus on it but my wife has other ideas. Yep I am thinking about tradin the Ninja in on a Buell. Why? Cause I like the idea of a low maintenance sportbike and the sound and looks of them are awesome. Where did yo buy your Harely? Destination? Hey I could change my user id to kbuell

If they want to build a REAL Indian motorcycle, they should locate the factory in Bangalore. Enfield Motors is going under, so there should be a ready supply of workers skilled at building obsolete motorcycles.

Low maintenance sportbike. Bingo!!

And weren't you just slamming Buell a couple weeks ago? That's alright. Good luck. If you do get a Buell, let us know if the maintenance and stuff works out as advertized.

The marque had its day in the sun. Let it rest in peace undisturbed. If you really want to be in the business of making motorcycles, how about some integrity? Pursue technical innovation and creative marketing as an alternative to the exploitation of the honored dead? God, this Indian resurrection thing is getting old!

No. They need to buy an existing I4 from one of the Big Four. Honda lent their RC-51 motor to that Black Lightning project. Why couldn't this new Indian do the same thing until they get on their feet. Might I recommend the ZRX1200 mill?
