Don't ya just love a bunch of spoiled, soft, middle-class, Americans crying about how tough times are? Damn. I'd hate to see what you crybabies would do if things got really tough. I mean what if you broke a fingernail or something?? The horror!

Also we may get to find out what we'll do when things are really tough thanks to the braindead policies of your elected officials.

The tough times are just starting longride... Remember the good times have been because W has been using the Uncle Sam credit card. Now the he is hitting the credit limit and has to start making payments... Two choices raise interest rates and slow the economy or print more money and cause inflation... If you don't believe me check it out..

I read a report comparing marginal tax rates and at one time in the 50s, the top marginal rate was 91% in the US. It applied to only 500 or so Americans at the time, though, because of the boundary set on the margin. Over time, it has done nothing but decrease (currently 38%) but as the rate dropped, so did the boundary on the margin, effectively roping more and more taxpayers into that bracket. All brackets saw the same decrease in rate and lower boundary, so the average tax rate has remained nearly the same, but the overall revenues have increased as fewer and fewer people evade taxes altogether and more and more people are lumped into the top bracket with the ultra rich.

The relevancy of the change is what makes this article ridiculous. If by adopting a penchant for choppers, tattoos, and body sculpting is disenfranchising the poor and driving societal change, think of the staggering ramifications of the rich developing a penchant for belly button lint. My God! The poor will be assiduously cleaning their navels, thereby throwing the whole space-time continuum out of kilter!

I can see the tears welling up in your eyes JB. I guess since you don't do anything about your plight, you get exactly what you deserve, eh? Reaping what we sow are we? Scary huh?
