First of all, move out of the land of Fruits and Nuts and head east. Here in Kansas when the winter is cold and long, we simply kick back and read a Playboy or Penthouse. It keeps your mind young and active. It can take one's mind off of the extended length of the non-riding season. Unfortunately, the downside is it can cause one's better half to get somewhat jealous.

At some point the frog will stick his head out of your butt and say, "how high up am I"? You will say "about two or three feet". And he will follow that up with "You wouldn't sh*t me would you"!

I don't think that's the kind of "active" they were looking for. Besides, with Danielle in the office now it's probably a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Geez, don't be such WIMPS! Get a little wet and you sunshine guys do nothing but complain. Here in Seattle, dedicated moto riders don't stop for a little rain! It takes snow to stop us, and there are even a few crazies that even snow doesn't stop. The local BMW club even has an annual Sno-Camp outing on the flanks of Mt. Rainier in February.

Get OVER it. Put on your Aerostich, hook up the heated vest or jacket liner and GO!

Best bike thing to do on rainy/snowy/otherwise inclement days, at least for those of us without access to a constant stream of new hardware, is to go down to a favorite local bike shop and just hang out for a while, trying on new gear, chatting with the staff, maybe picking up a goodie or two, maybe just warming yourself in the tangible aura of a bunch of good bikes. It's a great way to network, pass judgement on rumors, have fun sneering at the squiddier-than-you bench racers, all that.

Best non-bike things to do: play guitar loudly and poorly and gleefully, cook chili with too many hot peppers, rent old movies you've always missed, have quality nookie time with the significant other.
