I don't think most motorcycle manufs. have put much emphasis into gas mileage because there was little incentive for it. 45 to 50 mpg sounds pretty good and thats available without trying on many bikes. I don't think 100 mpg on a fairly speedy bike-- say 11 to 12 second quarter mile--is out of the question at all if they work at it. Without getting too exotic either.

I wouldn't want slippery diesel fuel any where near a motorcycle. It's bad enough hitting spot of it when stopping for gas. Good luck if you get any on your riding gear. You'll stink for days.

My guess is that they're burning a mixture of No.2 diesel, NOS, and crack.

Looks cool!

What's the compression ratio on that motor?

My what cynics you are. What's hard to believe here? They recast parts for better results. Guessing, the compression is probably 9.5 or better and the turbo is most likely up to 10lbs of boost or better and the FI mapping is adjustable. Surely, if the bike is tuned for the 120hp range then the mpg is going to suffer. The torque numbers are a bit more generous than I believe to be truly obtainable, but what a wonderous machine. The motor looks hideous but nonetheless the engineering is an achievement that should be matched by the BIG motor companies.

150 mpg? Uh, OK.

So what mileage does the tow vehicle get?

What are the chances that this outfit has out-thought, out-discovered, out-refined and out-engineered all of the major motorcycle companies with their decades of experience and their multi-million dollar R&D departments?

I'm picturing a bunch of Japanese engineers slapping their heads and saying, "Recast parts! Why we no think of that?"
