250 ft-lbs of torque? If that's true and not a typo - this thing is practically a unicycle, or maybe just a human sized flyswatter...

I was thinking more along the lines of the mythical cosmoline wrapped WLA 45's that were supposed to be had in the 50's for pennies on the dollar.

It it moves, salute it.

If it doesn't move paint it.

If it doesn't do any of the above two, f*** it.

You won't need a surplus bike. They are also developing a civilian version.

http://www.dieselmotorcycles.com/

Seems they have even taken a pre-production version to the salt flats for speed testing. They were supposed to be ready about this time, but no news means no bikes.

150 mpg? Doubt it. Look at the size of that engine. 450 lbs. Doubt it. Anyone know the projected price? How about at least $30,000 American. What a joke. Who here would really buy this?

I've seen a couple diesel attempts in the past, and they've always been lacking in power. How is it these guys are suddenly able to make an engine with such unbelievable power?
