Default More stinking crap substituted for logic

To continue with the same lame excuse that helmet laws are needed because of insurance or medical costs is a big stinking load of crap. If we realy wanted to change laws to reduce over-all medical and insurance costs we'd quit *****footing around and outlaw cigarettes and alcholic beverages. I refuse to believe that motorcycle accident cost, helmeted or otherwise, even remotely begin to aproach the costs drunk drivers inflict on us all, every single day. And my, how effective anti-drunk driving campains have been...

If the author had any balls they would cite where they got the numbers from. They could use the, uh, what is it? Internet? I forget.

Perhaps the numbers do show a correlation. Perhaps they don't. Let's see the cards.

Wait! Revealing the source of the data would be Red State for Dummies Fox News Bu$hitler Chimpy McHalliburton Community College propaganda, or something. My bad!

States only require you to carry liability insurance, i.e. in case of damage you cause to the property of others.

You are still permitted to cause damage to yourself without coverage, in many cases.

Default Re: Statistics for dummies and liars (Fox news fans)

Ahem:If you want to teach statistics to "Dummies"you ought to know that if you double something you increase it by 100%,not 200 %. Example:If you have one foot in your mouth and stick the other in you have doubled the amount of feet in your mouth but you have increased the amount of feet in your mouth by 100%. What is one level below "Dummy"?
