Sorry to point this out, as far as I know all states require insurance (at least on autos). As a government mandated item, the insurance company now operates as a mandated requirement in society. Free market rules no longer apply, so some guvment restriction/regulations will (should?) be applied.

When insurance mandates are removed you will see actual competion between ins. comp. Then the consumer and the Ins. comp. can let the free market rule the decisions.

The gist of the article was not that guns kill people, but apparently riding motorcycles kills people. No numbers were given on how many, if any, of the deaths were attributable to not wearing a helmet.

Given your well publicized safety record on motorcycles one would hope that you wouldn't choose to play with firearms however

U may b on to something, could be instinctive desire to be unencumbered. Wife tries to put sweaters and cute reindeer antlers and things on weiner dog and he works his way out of them real quick. (Tho if he could ride a motorcycle would probly have sense to keep helmet on.)

Cool, a helmet law thread. Let's start one on horsepower limit laws, too. Then maybe another one on speed limit enforcement. Then maybe one on the advisability of graduated licensing laws. Then another one on whether or not cruisers suck. How about one on the pros and cons of Harleys and/or Buells? Fun stuff.
