I've never heard of this ride but it sounds really interesting. Can anybody tell me how tough it really is?

Personally I've never done it but several folks have done it from work. I've been over the pass a couple times in the summer. Trouble is Colorado has such unpredictable weather. The Georgetown side would be the worse since there is lots of tight switch backs. That ridge faces to the North and not much sunlight.
Motorcyclist or CycleWorld had a write up on the ride a few years back. I believe they road a xt225 and the write only fell 6 times. I thought the ride was dead but it's nice to hear it goes on. If you go you might want screws in the tires for added traction thats what my friends did. |
