Default That's sad really.

You guys slow down at accidents hoping beyond hope that you get to see some blood don't you?

Pretty sick guys. I expect it from umarcuns but not canucks. I thought they were better than that, Wrecks.

Yeah, Man. They'll take away my sportbike when they pry it from my cold, dead hands.

Default Take a breath dude.

Jeez, buddy, you're all over the place on this post. "Dip$hits"? "cowards"? "self loathing"? I didn't take anything from sarnali's post like you did. I thought it was pretty good actually.

Default The Law for Dummies 2 (idiots)

Typical longride response. You are confusing criminal and civil law. Both types are necessary. It is really sad that some people are ignorant of the repercussions that can result when they are reckless. If more people were aware of the civil side of accidents I suspect there would be less reckless behavior. Yes I have been AMA member since 2001. So no I did not know of Senator Potter's proposal in 1987. Thank you for using your "vast" experience to make me aware of this.

Default Re: Good reasons exist for suing someone

"As someone whose father died in a house fire where the house's owner may have been at fault, my family and I simply didn't see the point in ruining other lives after a tragic (get ready for the word) accident. Money won't bring him back."

So the owner may have been negligent. What about the loss of income for your family. Money won't bring him back but your family should be compensated for the loss of income, especially if the owner was negligent.

"And in this case, I doubt either the victim or perpetrator had harmful intent factored as part of the equation."

No but the rider was an adult and he was reckless. i.e. he knew better.
