Default FS: 1974 Suzuki GT750

1974 Suzuki GT750 two-stroke triple; good condition, approx 20K original miles, the bike needs a few things to be almost perfect, but is in good running condition.
The bad: tank needs cosmetic repair where P.O. dropped bike at low speed; seat needs recover or replacement (not in bad shape, two very minor tears, covered w/electrical tape to prevent spreading/water damage). Very minor pitting of chrome on bike. Needs spoke kit for rear wheel, 1 spoke missing (bought it that way, didn't discover till riding it for six months; ridable as is, but wouldn't trust it to go as fast as I've ALREADY been on it ).
This bike is an unrestored survivor, I've owned three of these, and hate to give up this one, but four year old daughter at age 50 makes you rethink a few things, lol.
Price is $2750.00 (REDUCED)...comes with cover and small sport fairing (not pictured) and clear title.
If interested, e-mail at dorsaiian@comcast.net or call 615-336-0575, Tony
Buyer must pick up or arrange shipping from Nashville, TN. Payment will be in cash or cashiers check on delivery. Be prepared to present proof of identity; sorry, but being an auto theft investigator has given me a lack of faith in a simple handshake.

Before I looked-over the pic, I thought "$3k Firm for a 1974 Suzi 2-smoke? Are you out of your mind?" After looking at the pic, I believe I must revise my initial opinion. Bike looks really good, I'd strongly consider this if it "called" to me a bit more.

Good Luck with the sale.

Lol, that's why I posted the hi-res pic...and thank you for the kind words, sir...they're really getting hard to find in this condition; I wouldn't be selling it if I felt I had a choice; want to get a head start on daughter's education, and have to give up toys to do that.
EDIT: Your avatar is funny as hell!!

BTW, for anyone interested, additional pics are available on request.

One motorcycle magazine said the GT750 was "designed by a drunken jukebox salesman."

I liked 'em though. Nice. Don't see too many in that shape anymore. All it needed was some fins.

Hey, you want fins? I can add fins, lol...I think the quote about being designed by a drunken jukebox salesman applied to the RE-5 Rotary from the same era (or should have). Talk about bizarre styling...

By the way, like the quote from Geo. S. Patton. How close he came to retiring before the outbreak of war...and came to an ignominious end, after.

That's an excellent bike, you shouldn't have any trouble selling it.
