Thanks for all the helpful tips guys haha. I was actually wondering why no one was newb bashing... you're all softies But I do appreciate the "warm" welcome and all the helpful information.

Regarding my ex... yah she is a trip. I've kind of learned that the hotter a girl is (physically), the crazier she is (mentally). Nothing personal to any hot girls who happen to read this! She has a b/f and is still crazy towards me. Know that song by Buckcherry "Crazy B***h"? That's my song for her.

I did have an offer within 8 hours of posting it, but it's not as high as I'd want to let it go for. I'm considering any reasonable offers though, especially if a bike is involved in the trade instead of a straight up sale. I realllllly want a bike again ASAP.

Just got a trade offer for a 95 Honda CB1000 & an 82 Yamaha VF750 lol. But I think the CB1000 is too heavy of a bike for me? I am 6'4", 165lbs.....

Have you ridden much? Any 1000cc 4 cylinder bike is gonna be too much if you don't have experience.

I agree with you. I've had two bikes. '82 450 Nighthawk (For summer) and an '82 750 Nighthawk (For another summer). I probably have only 10 hours of road time, with about 200 miles total. So I am pretty new to bikes. Both my previous Honda's were not reliable enough to take out too far from my house

I told the guy it's too big a bike for me. Hence why I am looking for the specific bikes I listed.

Holy......!

A New Rider that DOESN'T want a new CBRGSXRZXR1-10000 just "cuz I'll outgrow that weak-ass 600 in six months"?

Who are you really, and what have you done with that new guy, HibachiZ28?

Technically I've been "riding" for 3 years lol. But off and off with limited mileage/hours as I said. But, I have a LOT of friends who ride. I think 50% of the guys at work have bikes (Mainly Ducati's and Harley's, with a few Suzuki's, a Honda, and some 'Busa's in there). I like to do my research before I make any purchase, especially a vehicle/bike purchase.

To be bluntly honest, I'd probably be okay with something as small as a 450 again. Ideally, the SV650 or the Hawk would be something I would thoroughly enjoy growing into, at least from my research and discussions I've had.

If you're 6'4", you'd be a lot more comfy on a VStrom. Same frame and engine; tuned differently, but a completely different set of ergonomics. The SV is a great bike, but you're going to be crunched up on it. If track days are what you're after, good choice. If cruising distance is your goal; the DL beats the SV any time.
