Check the carbs and the fuel tank for rust. Its obviously sat for a bit. The motor I believe is the same as every 1500cc. Good luck!

The latest Motorcycle Consumer News (which is dated, due to press skeds) has the '95 VN1500A valued at $1975.
Taking Moke's advice one step further, you should plan on replacing the tires and several pieces of rubber tubing, and all the fluids. 15 years, even though the bike sat a lot, is still a lot of time on the soft parts.

thanx Guys, do you have any specs or know where I can look them up - I've been researching online and can't seem to come up with any. This bike is in great running condition and is a great looker, it is well set up and will be very comfortable for my wife and I to cruise on ... looking for gas milage, weight, any mechanical problems peculiar to this year and model ('94 kaw vulcan 88 1500) the tires are like new too.

Jim,
I apologize for the bad manners... Welcome to the forum! OK, now. I'd recommend you go to the local library and see if they have the back issues of Motorcycle Consumer News and maybe MotorCyclist. Of the two, MCNews will have the untarnished review of the bike. I'm fairly certain they would have done a review of that bike, but perhaps not that year. Ther is also this: Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Motorcycle Report Test Review Article Reprint Service HTH!
