In his "how I get dressed" video he said he was retired Navy, or maybe former Navy?

It's been mild here, a week of real cold weather and the usual rain but overall it's not bad. Today is 55 and partly cloudy.....Can't b*tch about that for February. I actually washed and waxed my bike yesterday and believe me, that's an annual event.

What exactly is a "controled lay down". Is that the proud term for "I lost control and wrecked, but knew it was doing down when it did"?
I hit ice earlier this season and as approaching the snow bank sideways, I figured I was better low siding it before hitting the bank and possably going over it. So I guess I did somewhat have control over which side I layed down, but it was still a "wreck due to poor judgement". That poor judgement being taking a 4 hour trip to a ski resort where my brother lost his car keys. The weather was ok here, cold, but ok.

Well, we all try to help those in need and myself being unemployed at the moment had the time but diddnt have the heart to tell him it would cost me $60 in gas to get there in my truck, he drives a Subaru so whats he know about buying gas, lol And I needed an excuse to get a ride in. The bike was ok though, I think the ice & snow kept us both from road rash, a clip broke off my lowers, I reglued & realigned and good as new. Learning experience no dobut.

Experience is always the best way to learn. I ride all year 'round, down to about 27 degrees. The problem here is ice. We get dew on the road in the evening that freezes overnight, so ice is a problem. Cold doesn't really bother me, but the ice...
