2009 Yamaha R1
DOes anyone know the date the unveiling of the 2009 yamaha R1 will be? and when will it be available for purchase?
 anyone have any advice on whether the new '09 R1 is a better investment than an '07 or '08 R1? other than newer model of course. cause there are older models who have better performance than newer ones. not necessarily for yamaha  |

No current motor-vehicle is an "investment". Especially not a Japanese motorcycle.

Keep it crated for say 75 years, it might be an investment. I've heard there is a shop on Long Island that has SV 1K's naked [2003]. Their hoping it's an investment. At the prices they mentioned they had better hope.... It has been a couple years.

R1 Cylinders firing 90 degrees apart?
From the article: "R1’s engine has individual cylinders firing 90 degrees apart from each other. This eliminates the torque fluctuation of a typical four-cylinder mill"
How does this work, two firings per revolution with uniform torque fluctuations puts them at 180 degrees in my book. |
