Default 2009 Indians $31,000.00 and up!!

Came across the following article on the release of the 09 Indians. 2009 Indian Motorcycles - First Look - MotorcycleUSA.com The base model Chief is listed at $30,999.00 and the full up touring package is around $34,500.00. Guess they haven't been watching the business channel.

"Proprietary engine" is marketing speak for "It's not an Evo clone, we swear!"

Now all you Indian lovers have to do is take out a home equity line of credit and....oh, forget it.

Oh looky. An undersquare air-cooled pushrod operated V-twin. How unique. That's gonna set the world on fire.

But on the plus side they're going to distinguish themselves from HD by mounting the speedo higher. There should be a big lineup to pay 2X HD costs for this unique offering.

Uh, NO. Sorry. That answer is Incorrect. Everybody knew EXACTLY what the new Indian was going to look-like: another cheap Harley-Clone dressed-up with droopy fenders an' a bit O' fringie-crap around the saddle an' saddlebags. Mebbe with some O' them tassles hangin' from the bars, an' a Wideglide-knockoff front fork..........

We were only praying we were wrong.

If that was the first look, I don't think the last look is far behind.

The so called "Power 105" motor may not be made at the S&S factory, but S&S sure as h3ll designed the original "Power 100" mill for Indian just before the CMC/Indian connection imploded last time.
