The first time I saw the Yamaha Trikker I wondered who had been spying into my dreams. I have always wanted a bike that could do everything. This bike looks like it would be just as comfortable on a supermoto track as it would in a skate park. A lightweight, progressive looking, almost trials style, perfect urban assault bike. I think every rider would be better off owning something like the Trikker. If all motorcycle riders would practice "tricks" on a smallish bike in a closed course, their road riding skills would greatly improve. Trying stoppies or wheelies or any "trick" or "stunt" on a lightweight bike is far less intimidating, and usually less expensive if you have to ditch. Riders who are familiar with balance points(of stoppies and wheelies)and the concious of the small adjustments made to controls to keep the bike tipped on either wheeel, have a far greater chance of being able to keep themselves out of trouble on the streets. I think the Yamaha Trikker would be a great addition to anyones garage, and if they rode it like they stole it, their automobile evasion skills would be sure to improve. Too bad it's not available in our country yet.

No, we don't need it.
First, the "Urban Assualt Bike" moniker may not be co-opted for use on anything other than Dual-Sport bikes with street tires. It's copyrighted material and I'd hate to have to sue you. Second, do we REALLY need a Stunta Training Bike? I think not. Stuntaz and their antics have resulted in draconian incarceration, seizure of property, and loss of riding endorsement laws being passed here in FL. I think anyone who wants to learn to stunt should be equipped with a 1000+ cc sportbike with nitros for free. And no helmet. Besides, can't you go buy a Gas Gas or something just like this thing?

Ken, it's like the Yamaha Bigwheel from 20 years ago, Yamaha is banking on the "cute" factor, they'll sell thousands of 'em.
And like the Bigveel most will be left sitting in garages, gathering dust. I remember in about '80 when the Stuporbowl of Motocross has a pre-race magazine editor Big Wheel race. Carnage, editors were eating it big on the cute evil handling bikes. The year before that they put the Editors on those insane 175cc Kawasaki mini-bikes, I forget the model name. It was eat it big time then too.

Enough with the rational discussion already. I'm not in the mood.

Doesn't matter. People always want what they cannot have. If they were imported, guaranteed the OP wouldn't pony up the cash for one.
Just get a used trials bike. It'll be a lot cheaper, and it'll still be worth what you aid for it when you get tired of it.

Jeez, I just saw a Yamaha ad on YouTube featuring the Tricker. Neat bike, like a DT1 on steroids. Man, if I could only ride again I'd figure out how to sneak one through Customs. A street legal trials-enduro, how interesting (reminds me of a Sherpa T).
