Cud, seen the new Scorpa Trials/enduro cross breed? It's a real cracker!

It's called the T-ride:

PP, would be nice if the links on the website worked...looks like Yamaha motors to me...are they French bikes? I know Yamaha went in and bought up the Sanglas company in 1983 (Spanish). Remember the trials bike boom of the late 1970's that tanked soon after? I think if they produce a bike that's more enduro-less trials would be a selling point. And stick a 1972 DT2 motor in it. Why not?

Hmmm. They worked for me, and I'm behind a viscious DoD firewall.

Yes, they're using Yamaha based engines. The T-ride has the trials engine, suspension and running gear in an enduro frame. Sort of like the Gas Gas Pampera grown up.

I had several of the '70s Jap trials bikes. Very neat and reiable, but, for some reason, uninspiring. I thinked they dumbed down the bikes to appeal to a broader audience. My first ride on a Montesa Cota was a revelation. Much nicer handling bike with super tractor-like hook up.

I have no trials bike now, but I am looking at getting a newer Beta or Gas Gas.

A trials bike? Don't make me laugh. No way people are going to buy 250s purposefully designed with highly tractable low output engines. Unless Yammmer can bling 'em up somehow. Yo, dog?
