So, let's say someone comes into your office with a briefcase of cash wanting to buy a GSX-R 1000. You ask them if they've ridden before. They say they just got their motorcycle license. You try to encourage them to buy something smaller... more sensible. Their "posse" tells them that bike is for sissies. Question: Do you sell them the GSX-R 1000? (Oh, and your mortgage payment is due next week.)

Nope, I sit them down and educated the rider to the hilt, and the posse, And he leaves on nothing bigger than a 650. See when you have a reputation in the business people respect that and bring customers to you because your not looking to just make a sale, but a relationship.

Oh and by the way I had this very senario played out last year only it was a bag of cash and an strong aroma of some illegal substance.

Glad to hear you're "holding the line." Were they kind enough to offer you any?

No but the funny story came after my finance guy asked him to sign that certain form that lets the Irs know your spending over 10 gees in cash, when he exclaimed "Dude do I have to?"

Not sure if I'd call it holding the line, but thanks? Its still a 600, I try to tell them death doesnt pick certain cc's, you can die on anything, even a 250! Its hard to talk these kids down, their excactly like me, they know everything?Go figure:] And then theres the 6'5 285lb first time rider? Wheee-we? Try and show that guy a 600? he cant even fit on the dam thing?
