If I were to guess, it'd be a competitor for the Harley 48.

And Star/Yamaha bikes are good bikes; nothing to complain about.

A competitor or an exact copy?

Has it ever been anything but an exact copy?

Pretty funny to see these guys try to build some sort of traditional mystique to an overpriced overweight pig that bears not the slightest relationship to the defunct Indian brand other than the name.Even funnier to see the Indian history video as if the new company has anything in common at all beyond the same name being used in a cynical marketing ploy. Even funnier to see people line up for it.

They like to call Indian the oldest motorcycle company in the world. Even if Indian hadn't ceased production and gone bankrupt 55 years ago there's still an older name.... Royal Enfield.

Marketing over reality. Always a treat.

Too bad the Indian website doesn't even have a rundown on their bike. There's a neat rundown on the Indian war bonnet fender ornament though.

Hook 'em up and reel 'em in!

C'mon now, they have that picker guy pimping for them so they must be legit.

Actually says more about what a shameless attention wh0re he is than anything else. He has a collection of REAL Injun bits and bikes, clearly loves the brand yet lends his face and nebulous credibility to this latest dead horse whacking.

As far as the new Star-maha, of all the cookie cutters out there I think they are the most usable bikes, still nothing like the real thing though no matter how much "edgy" advertising they throw at it.
