Yeah, that thing's waay past it's prime; they shoulda taken it out and shot it years ago. Probably a few old-timers out there still thinking that "Big Triple" is just the shnitz, while everybody laughs up their sleeves as they putt by.

Whenever the Japanese have a chance to throw an exsisting engine in another frame thay take that chance. Im not sure who they're trying to impress with this new adventure bike but its most definitely their M.O. as with the other three rising sun maufactures.

Which is,... "what do we already make that we can turn into an adventure bike." It's the same old business approach. This is one reason I like companies like Victory, at least they follow their own designs instead of copying someone elses.

On another note why did Suzuki bring back the DL1000 instead of other models that out sold it by a mile, such as SV,DRZSM,GS,VS8&14,C109,
M90,etc,...

The DL1000 came out over a decade ago. Here was Suzuki in 2001, with a big ADV bike with an extended suspension, 19" front wheel, v-twin engine, many of the things that Ducati, Triumph, Buell, and others have just introduced in the past couple of years on their ADV bikes. I think Suzuki is hoping that the market has caught up with the bike, and that it will recoup some of it's investment in the model.

Possibly, or they have so many laying around in there warehouse that they have to do something with them,....
