Question Original Color?

I am restoring a 1972 shovelhead and would like to go to original color. Is now 2 tone, Dk. Blue/Lt Blue

There are several sources for paint codes for the model year. Start at your local HD dealership.

Shovelhead what? FLH or FX? Boat tail Superglides were white, I remember FLH's being babysh*t brown or a metalic blue with white seats and bags with AMF and white bars on the tank....You could always find a spring post seat, paint it birch white and call it an FLHP. That would add a couple of bucks to the value..
