On a possibly related topic, I tried to buy the box set for Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Seasons 1-7) for the LOML off eBay.

I did all the due diligence, looked at the feedback and ratings, and the price seemed to be in line for the product.

Package arrives, and viola! It's covered with postage from China! And, the seller's "username is no longer active" on eBay. And the box looks nothing like the original, and includes some typo's.

(Do a Google search for "Buffy, Chosen, pirate".) Apparently this scam has been going on for a while.

Fortunately (I hope), the Resolution Center will work this out quickly.

I went right back and found another, and bought it. I haven't opened the package yet, but it is the right box, and it came from NC, not PRC.

Forewarned is forearmed! Maybe...
