Today I took a half day off and rode to my mountain property because we forgot to shut off the propane last weekend. It was a 320 mile ride, mostly on the interstate with a 75mph limit but about 40 miles on 2-lane 55-65 mph highways and some dirt roads. Temps were perfect at around 75. I continue to be impressed by the Tiger. I did the 320 with ease, no butt burn or cramping when I use the Airhawk cushion. The bike cruises turbine smoothly and effortlessly at 80-90 or more. My last leg home was 110 miles, almost all at 80, and the bike returned 50 mpg! I have never been so pleased with a bike. If you get a chance to test ride a Tiger 1050 don't pass it up!

I tried to test ride a Tiger last weekend at a Triumph Demo Days thingie. Turns out, people show up really early to sign up for those things. The wait for any of the triples was pretty long so I went out in the first group on a Thunderbird. It was nice, had the off-road pipes if that's your thing (sounded pretty good, actually). I talked to some guys who had ridden the Tiger and the Sprint and they had nothing but nice things to say, except for some heat issues on the Sprint (from a guy who's regular ride is a Futura).
The best part was the guy who stalled the Tbird he was on twice before getting out the lot, and then dropped it on the first right turn from a stop. Good times. The dealership also sold Ducati (that Streetfighter is a joke...it's going 100mph standing still), KTM (damn, can I just have one?), and Huskys (one of those too, please). My advice is don't go to a dealership like that...you'll probably just leave a little angry if you didn't bring your checkbook. |

Golf? Why TF would anyone care about golf? Or @ssholes like Tiger? Watching golf on TV is a sign of brain death.

I was all ready to read about hookers, drugs, and divorce!
Sounds like the Tiger is kicking ass for you, Zawa. That mileage is impressive, the Vee only gets in the high 30's at 80+. It's odd, around town it does great, in the 40's. You'd think it would be the other way around.

Saturday at 10:30 I am doing a one-hour demo ride on the new MultiStrada. I'm going to take lots of photos and do a "layman" review for Stromtrooper.com. Maybe I'll drop it, just to see how well it bounces!

Thanks for taking the time for an update. Real world experience beats manufacturer endorsed reviews every time.

Pretty good mileage on that Tiger, my FLHT only gets 40 and that's with the streamlined Batwing fairing and 800lb road holding weight.....
