Default The IZCP

The IZCP motorcycle company was built from the ashes of IZLC in Minsk, Russia after the second world war. The IZCP was a very simple motorcycle, with sparse controls. A very simple idea was to use the left hand of the rider (or passenger) as the carburettor float bowl, and horn. Also there was no gear shift, as the gears were moved down the open transmission shaft with a strong stick, or long screwdriver. Power was transmitted to the rear wheel via a vacuum cleaner hose.

Shot of exposed transmission. A a stick or long screwdriver moved the shift fork.

The fist IZCP's ran on a mixture of toluene and but Gibbie, the later being in great quantity after the war, what with all the wool undergarments. Models produced later after the revolution of 1917 ran on regular stove gas, and kibble. They were identified by the large burnished zinc IZCP insignia on the gas tank, that was made of shoe leather.

IZCPs won many races in the early days of the Russian Revolution, where the winner wasn't executed right away. The IZCP of Boriz Yipiczcuzikski was perhaps the most famous, since it was run on an experimental meat track, made of surplus Spam from the United States.

IZCP was annexed by the The Peoples Streetcar Works of Uzbekistan in 1953, and stopped production of its only model, the 150 Oichen Parapusk, which is quite a collector item now in the former Soviet Union.

Hmmm, was there ever any litigation involving Didier Soupape and IZCP? Ya know like copyright infringment. I can only imagine it was like the whole HD and the cruiser copy cat thing.

That's Blasphemy. I'm calling BS. Those pictures are directly copied from the Spagthorpe Pug manual.

That's a good illustration depicting the setup and function of the Doingspring and Whifflebat Clutch. Note correct orientation of the Katzenjammer Eccentric. A 2.3-mil Splattershield (not shown) covers this assembly during operation.

In this illustration, you can clearly see the Krunk Gear and Starring Shaft - not shown is the Weevil-Module at the opposite-end of the shaft, which provides Blinker-fluid pressure to all the running lights, along with Power Steering of the rear wheel.

It was an extremely primitive setup, replaced in most Modern bikes by a Slackjaw-fork and Helter-skelter driven electrically by the Alternator.
