Suzuki To Withdraw From MotoGP
by staff Monday, November 14, 2011 There has been a Suzuki on the grid since almost the beginning of the 500cc era but that thirty year record is set to end when Suzuki announces that they will not partake in the MotoGP series next season. No official statement has yet been issued but well-placed sources in Europe confirmed over the weekend that Suzuki has decided to pull the plug. Suzuki joins Kawasaki, Ilmor and Aprilia in deciding that MotoGP does not currently fit into their plans. This leaves Honda, Ducati and Yamaha as factory entities in MotoGP. American Kevin Schwantz won the 500cc Grand Prix title for Suzuki in 1993. American Kenny Roberts Junior won the 2000 500cc world title while riding a Suzuki.

Knew this would be coming, and here it is. Sad stuff they have been in Grandprixs for as long as I can remember. Hopefully this helps them return in a few years.
