Presumed Rideless
by dean adams Wednesday, December 01, 2010 Looking to start a race team? It looks like a team owner's market right now in terms of available riders. A seemingly large number of riders are without riding jobs at the moment. Times are so tough in the throttle-twister ranks that some very capable and proven national riders have had to retrench back into the general population work force and wait for a seat to open. Yes, riders working "real jobs". "Hopefully, this is the bottom," said one team owner of the current situation. There are a few seats remaining, but where riders like Jake Zemke, John Hopkins, Jason DiSalvo, former Red Bull Rookie Cup champ JD Beach, current Red Bull Rookie Cup champ Jake Gagne, Dane Westby, Tommy Aquino or even Elena Myers, and a host of others, will land are unknown.

Predictions- Jake Z goes to M4, John H and Ferracci run a Superbike out of Celtic. JD races 600's one more year for a team his dad funds, Westby signs at the last moment with project 1 atl because last season didn't suck, Aquino races DSB on dad's bike, Elena resigns with RMR, have no idea about Jake G but he should look at WSS in reality becasue he's that good.

The question is Moke, will the riders survive Obama.
They all had jobs when W was prez.

When I started racing at age 13, I had a job at Baskin Robbins in the day, and at night I had a job pumping gas from six 'till eleven at night (summer jobs of course).
The was the only way I could afford Jawa electrical parts. Burtus JAWA/CZ in Hollywood was directly supported by my contributions to Femsa, PAL and Jikov. Especially the points, that cost $4.95 and would fail after about fifteen minutes of riding. So I bought a giant box of points for $50.00, it was like a box of potato chips, betcha can't eat just one! I still have some out in the garage somewhere. They are useless trash, mde from .00010 steel sheet that breaks if you look at them wrong. Then the Femsatronic with all those mysterious wires going to the circuit board (yes) and the diodes and capacitors and other stuff I replaced with ONE Motorola HEPRO150 Ziener Diode and the charging problems went away. If you can imagine an MX bike with a giant six volt battery, Oichen Karisho!

BTW- No one even brought up E Boz and Jamie Hacking. I believe that Attack should hire both, but financially I believe that Pat Clark Yamaha can afford the E Boz price tag. Not to mention the fact that Miguel is still without a ride.

Ken works for GE. Huge campaign money equals huge bailout money so i suppose that is the definition of "on track" in a crony capitalist world.
