Spies accident.
Valencia: Spies May Need A Crutch, But Not A Crutchlow
by dean adams of Superbikeplanet. Monday, November 01, 2010 American Ben Spies is up and gingerly walking today after crashing out of the Estoril MotoGP race yesterday. It's been reported globally that Spies dislocated his ankle in the crash. But the fact of the matter is that Spies has yet to be told by any kind of medical professional that he has anything but a sprained ankle from the spill. Spies will have an MRI this week but says the results of what the magic magnets discern about his ankle are immaterial. "No matter what I will be racing this weekend at Valencia," Spies said today. The near instant press speculation had it that Spies would be replaced by Cal Crutchlow for the Valencia round. Certainly, Crutchlow did an admirable job this season in WSBK, and was already well on his way to doing a near Rainey-level job of destroying his teammate even before Valentino Rossi helped him find a new engine map that enhanced the bottom end power of the R1. But there was never any kind of plan to have Crutchlow replace Spies at Valencia, ever. Crutchlow will get to ride Spies' bike--at the post-season MotoGP test when Spies moves to the factory Yamaha team.

Maybe Spies can use an..ahem...crutchlow to get around with....get it?

Back in the days of bell-bottom pants my left pant leg would go over the kick starter on my RT3, and when I'd stop for a red light, over i'd go. Crash. Hurt like hell. That's when I started wearing 501's again, cuffed of course.
