Both had to get up and do the mad dash to make sure the engine stopped running. The slow-mo of Hayden crouching in the gravel looking at his arm when 'WTF is that sound?' comes over him and he then jumps up and runs through the gravel like someone set his shorts on fire is interesting to watch.

Ben was set to complete practice with one of the fastest times yesterday until he lost the front.
FP2 Has started 38 minutes in and this is whats happening 1.Pedrosa 1:40.722 2.Lorenzo 1:40.926 3.Rossi 1:41.232 8.Hayden 1:41.691 10.Spies 1:41.754

Clearly the conditions for today's session were borderline brutal, hot and the track looking extra bumpy and slick. Spies would not predict a win tomorrow, saying he would never get that far ahead of ourselves". Nicky Hayden smiled for the first time, really smiled, since Indy last year. "Two Americans on the front row, this is huge," he said. Rossi and Simoncelli crashed out of the race, the former doing a semi-ugly low speed but hyper-extending crash. They both walked away, but Rossi, on his second crash of the day, was walking slowly and yelling extra loud through his helmet in the garage when he returned.
