Odds are that the WSBK motor puts out the same power as the V4. It's a stupid design for them. What the hell does Suzuki know about V4s? They've not had any luck with them since the stupid cruiser in the 80s.

WTF? Why limit the number of engines at all? Or how about just setting up some rules and leaving them alone. Let God sort it out.

How can anyone plan when the FIM says "These are the rules unless we change them at any moment mid-season"? Are the old AMA guys running the FIM now? Why should Suzuki be rewarded for building a lousy engine? Maybe the FIM should just hand out a trophy to everyone at the end of the year for "trying hard" and do away with the Championship. "They are all Champions."

It just seems stupid.

Don't other teams run v configurations Ace, I'm pretty sure Honda runs with a V4 albeit it's a closer degree.
Who else runs the V in motogp. Thought there where a few?

Ducati runs what is essentially a V4 in MotoGP.

The basis of the design of the Desmosedici engine therefore is two classical Ducati L-Twins next to each other, making a Double L Twin with two-cylinder Stroking at the same time (also called Twin Pulse).
