I'm totally down with Nicky moving the Duck up. He's definitely got to be looking at Stoners results lately and knowing he's got to show Ducati that he can be the number one rider. But regaurdless everyone is hungry, and with Valentino out they will be salavating at the thought of him being out of contention for the title run.

So Pedroso runs away from the field pulling sub-1:49s to everyone else's 1:50+ and the only action is back at 4th. What is it about motorcycle racing that makes the "runaway" leader such a frequent occurance? Can turbulent versus clean air account for that much difference?

?Stoner...what happened to that guy?

Spies is right where he said he wanted to be at the start of the season: "qualifying well and finishing in the top 10." By late season or next year when he has "the show" figured out, he is going to be on the podium a lot.

Colin will ride the Fiat bike before Spies because of the rookie rule. Don't think that Rossi won't be trying to put weight on the leg at 5 weeks, but recovery will be long and painful. Expect JT to be called back by Yamaha to step in to Tech 3 and Colin ride the Fiat bike for the next few months.

The runaway is the riders ideal game plan if they can accomplish this task. From the start they'll click off some superquick times and try and hide from the rest of the field. If the rider can accomplish and build a sizeable lead in the first portion of the race they can slow their pace down, watch the gap and maintain it. Wayne Rainey was a master at this. Don't think the clean air makes that much difference.

Stoner,.. his head and all these crashes have messed with his head.

I get it that they want to run away...who wouldn't. But why is it so much more common in motorcycling than, say, F1, NASCAR, dung beetles, etc.? And it's not like one rider or team dominates and does it race after race either; at any race almost any of the top 3 or 4 riders might do it. So, what's the diff?

Perhaps he should remove it from his ass.

I was watching him off-track with his wife. She was hassling him about something...looked all clingy and high-maintenance. Maybe she should stay home.

Dont forget Rossi could be a major factor at the end of the season. Stealing important points from riders that are trying to seal up the title, which leaves Rossi as the big upsetter taking valuable points with no possible hopes of winning the Championship. Stay tuned it ain't over yet.

My new signature is my favorite quote from the GP season and it took Rossi to the hospital to get it.
