The Ducati Marlboro rider has a routine procedure in Madrid, which will not affect his participation at the next official MotoGP test at Sepang at the end of February. Immediately after last week’s test at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, Nicky Hayden travelled to Madrid, Spain to undergo surgery on his right arm. Attending the clinic of Doctor Angel Villamor Ducati Marlboro rider Hayden had a follow-up procedure to remove scar tissue, following an operation last November to treat ongoing compartmental syndrome, more commonly known as arm-pump. Hayden had a check-up after the test at Sepang last week and it was decided that a ‘clean up’ operation was required to remove scar tissue which was a result of the original operation. Ducati Marlboro have confirmed that Hayden, who has already returned to America, will participate in the next test which is scheduled for February 25-26 at Sepang.
